First post bump. Mine are pretty weak compared to the guy above me, but wth. These are the only ones I have pictures for::
Broken ankle, March '08

Almost severed toe, January '09 (wish I had gotten a pic before I went to the hospital but my roommates were freaking out.. pussies, it didn't even hurt)

Re: Post Your Injuries!

Christ ! Your not even going to ask about my well being.
I need that hand to navigate the Interwebz! Serious business.
I was going to, but I figured you wouldn't want to talk about such a horrible accident. I'm sorry.

How are you holding up? I hope you can still navigate the interwebz alright. Did you put some neosporin on it so it doesn't scar?

Re: Post Your Injuries!

I take it that you're coping well. I'm glad to hear that. I hope those memories don't cause you any sleep loss or nightmares. I'll be thinking of you in your time of need.

And I really think I took that a bit far. Whoops.

Re: Post Your Injuries!

Similar to what I did to mine in a "pinch accident" with a heavy equipment lathe saw. Only I did deglove my finger. When it happened, I went into shock, and pulled my own finger out of the pinch without help, or slack. Most of the scars are hard to notice now, except the nice C shaped one on the inside of my finger between the first and second knuckle. If you look at the second pic, the middle finger has a spot that goes against the rest of my skin's grain. Pic did not come out clear, but that is where the ER sliced my skin glove to get it back over my bone, muscle and tendon. This injury is why I am slow to regain limberness in my left hand (fret hand). And every knouckle on that finger pops with only the slightest movement.
This is my mates hand. He did it while we were drunk and just basically pissing around. I can't remember how he did it but it was something to do with a glass window

i just took these pics, so again disregard the date. I am too lazy to do anything about the false date, and it resets any time the batteries are changed.

Re: Post Your Injuries!

Well, lucky for me I have prior E.M.T. training should an emergency insue. Im going to have to run some cut & paste exercises now. Rehabilitation is crucial at this stage in my recovery. I'll keep you posted on my progress.
Thank you. I'll look forward to your update and the flowers and get well card are on their way. Keep in mind from last time how slow woodchuck mail is. You might be fully healed by the time it gets there, but it's the thought that counts.

Sadly, I have no pics of my left arm, which have been broken 4 times, over 4 years, unlucky me :( First I fell from a tree, then fell over a bag of grass, fell off a fence and then fell off a chair, unlucky me i say!

Re: Post Your Injuries!

This was... Two days after my second attempted nasal septal perforation fix.

Under the hair, you can see the shaved part where they opened up the skin and cut out some muscle tissue that goes around the skull, cause that's thin enough to be used in the nose. They also cut out about 1,5cm x 1,5cm piece of cartilage from my ear. You can see a bit of the bandage behind my ear, that's where they opened it up and took the cartilage from. All this was sown in my nose, with some mucosa transplant from deeper in my nose.

Surprisingly enough the sorest part was the muscle tissue, cause it hurt every time I tried to open my mouth and it took ages to heal.

I'll be having a similar surgery in about a month or so again.
