Pompholyx (Trypophobiac's Nightmare... Kinda.)
So here's my first post here. Don't think anyone's talked about this disease-y type thing on here yet, but it messes me up. I have a skin... i guess you would call it disease... called Pompholyx. Basically what it is is SMALL air pockets in the skin. I get them on my fingers, mostly the side of my index finger. The skin is slightly raised with tiny clusters. Usually I leave it alone and let it do whatever it feels like. But today at work, I felt itchy. So I bit at my skin, thinking it would help. Next thing I knew, I felt a popping in my mouth and on my finger. And even heard it. Kinda like rice krispies popping. So a liquid comes out of the popped, now hole, which I have figured out now is water, much like a blister. But like I said... it is now a friggin hole in my finger! So I'm freaking out/curious/really want to fucking pop some more. So I did... and it messed up my fingers a ton. I now have bright red spots where I popped the clusters (I had 3 clusters on one hand, 2 on the other), they are burning and itchy and painful, and the spots where I had ripped off the skin a bit look like my skin was burned. I'll have to take more photos of the after effects. Now... the other problem I have is that I'm Trypophobic, which means I have a fear of asymmetrical holes. I ESPECIALLY get freaked out when they are in the skin. Which is like this crap! So I can't look away, but it bugs the hell out of me. I hate it. Anyways... Here are some pictures I took at work after I messed with the air pocket thingys. Sorry for the quality. I had to rush cause I was in the bathroom and people get suspicious if you take too long. LOL And here are some other pictures of NOT ME. :P ![]() The second one is what my hand kinda looks like before I bit them open, but a bit less in one section and without the bigger blister-like ones. |

Wow, I didn't know that's what it was called. I have the exact same thing on my fingers but I've never been able to figure it out and neither has my doctor. I figured I was allergic to hand soap or something.

O.K.seriously these look like "scabies" they are tiny blisters that itch and burn on the fingers mainly and when the blisters pop they can spread.my children had them and had too go too the dr. and get med's for it cause it can spread to other people!don't know if that's what it is but sure looks and sound's as if that's what y'all might have. |

Re: Pompholyx (Trypophobiac's Nightmare... Kinda.)
Back in the early 1990's, I used to have the same thing on the ring and pinky fingers of my right hand. It extended down my fingers to my calluses and down the side of my hand to my wrist. I never did anything with it or too it and it just disappeared and went away on it's own after a short period of time. It was a nuisance while I had it though.
