Re: Photographer Committs Suicide After Horrific Photo
Attempting to feed the starving in these countries is only useless because the governments that run them are corrupt, so the problem isn't being solved. It isn't the fault of the citizens who don't even have access to birth control, and most women are raped anyway. Having to walk to communal wells for clean water and scavenge for food also takes up most of their time, so it's not like they're just "sitting around"...although severe malnourishment and chronic illness would probably limit your mobility too... Moron... |

Re: Photographer Committs Suicide After Horrific Photo
...also, I remember reading somewhere that the child in the photo was crawling toward a humanitarian aid tent that was serving food. He was actually quite close to it (and eventually made it there) when the vulture just happened to arrive, so the photog snapped the shot. He exaggerated the story to draw attention to the issue and subsequently killed himself because he knew all the attention around the picture was based on bullshit, and he had exploited the child.

Re: Photographer Committs Suicide After Horrific Photo
I agree. Some may find your comment bad, however, it is true. How can they reproduce bringing children into the world who they can't support? Relying on other countries to support their selfishness. Either way, it is so sad seeing children suffer badly. Easy answer? Donate contraception, not food. Or sterilisation.
