Re: Philippines - Cop Shot In The Back Of The Head
I'd like to think that I would have turned around if I heard someone coming up behind me... Still, this kind of ambush would be pretty damn hard to survive on a good day.

Re: Philippines - Cop Shot In The Back Of The Head
The amount of times I've scared the shit out of people riding my bike past them (on gravel no less) because they had no idea I was there makes me think there really isn't a counter to these types of ambushes aside from being twitchy af and looking around yourself constantly. Though this was pretty clearly a motorbike of some sort so it's weird that he didn't at least turn to see who was there.

Re: Philippines - Cop Shot In The Back Of The Head
Here in the Philippines, being a traffic enforcer does not mean that one is also a cop. A civilian with formal training in traffic enforcement is good enough to be a traffic enforcer; and does not need to undergo years of study being a policeman. Though of course, our cops have more power over traffic enforcers and can direct the flow of traffic whenever necessary. |
