Re: Parasites Growing on Nasty Teen's Contact Lenses
I used to have them, but, they were a pain in the eyes because I'm allergic to everything. I'm good with fresh ones, but, as soon as I start using solutions, cannot stand them. You shouldn't touch your face without washing your hands either, as we've learned in some bad skin videos here. It is probably easier for anyone who wears makeup. Don't touch that canvas, people! I used to wear them when I went out, then take them out in my car to drive home. Gave up! If people don't like me, they don't have to look. |

Re: Parasites Growing on Nasty Teen's Contact Lenses
I was like than when I got my first pair of ears piercings! I wouldn't touch them, but, then, I took them out so the holes are nice and tiny. I never wear earrings that hang more than an inch below my ears, especially with glasses. Babies and toddlers love to grab at both! I don't want those saggy old lady lobes that need stitches! Your eyes do adjust once you get past the blink reflex because to your eyes, they are a foreign substance. I've touched my eyes a couple of times, although not intentionally. Gooey! Eye thingys and sick and/or abused children make me cringe! |

Re: Parasites Growing on Nasty Teen's Contact Lenses
Wow, my eye doctor told me so many times to always use sterile techniques when I used contact lenses and to use the alcohol solution they gave you when cleaning and storing them. The only reason I stopped using them is because I felt so uncomfortable taking them out like I was afraid I would pinch my cornea or something.

Re: Parasites Growing on Nasty Teen's Contact Lenses
I don't know if users can buy them, but eye doctors have plastic tweezers, if you will, with which they remove them, if you cannot remove them yourself. If fitted correctly, it fits over your cornea and you simply pull it off between your fingers. I don't know if pinching your cornea would do damage, but, I understand how you feel. You just need to practice until you get it right. Keep your nails from being unkept and you should be alright. |

Re: Parasites Growing on Nasty Teen's Contact Lenses
This was back when we were in high school, close to 20 years ago, she was one of those burnouts who did the whole drinking and drugs and sleeping around and all that. Thankfully, she's turned her life around 180 degrees...got her college degree, works as an accountant, wonderful husband, two gorgeous kids...but I'm getting OT.
