Re: Pain in the Neck

Hydrogen peroxide(3%) is a better disinfectant than salt. It can be found at the dollar store. Do not swallow it. Use it as a mouth wash.

Re: Pain in the Neck

Yeah corpse that's not a bad idea, try looking in to any college or medical schools in your area. Hydrogen peroxide sounds like a good idea too.

Let me know how it goes. Worst comes to worst, take yourself to the hospital and explain the situation regarding seeing a dentist. The medical insurance I have here on the west coast covers 50% roughly so it is entirely possible for the hospital to bring in a dentist to see just what the fuck is going on at their expense.

Re: Pain in the Neck

I've got a food flap too, it's only minor at the moment. Had to have the tooth removed where my larger flap was as was getting problems like yourself.

Flaps

Hope you get that under control

Re: Pain in the Neck

Corsodyl is good once the infection is gone for gum care.

Re: Pain in the Neck

Don't take this as legitimate dental advice - merely passing on a tip from a friend who had a similar issue.

She had her mouth cleaned out profesionally, but the dentist advised to her pick up some plastic syringes from a pharmacy and to also pick up some heavy duty mouthwash with a decent alcohol content. The dentist recommended that after meals, my friend fill a syringe with the mouthwash, stick it into the food flap, and flush it out with the wash. Repeat several times. My friend said it stings/hurts like hell.

Also, this was a kind of 'maintenance' action after her mouth had been properly cleaned out by a dentist, so it probably won't fix or resolve whatever is happening in your mouth. The dentist also suggested that it was a short term maintainer until she could get the offending tooth removed, so that the gum issue could then heal and resolve itself.

As others have said, what you've got going on is a gum disease/infection/potential jaw infection/tooth abscess/jaw abscess complication waiting to happen. If you can book in to a college or university dental school they would definitely be more affordable. But you really need to get it attended to as soon as you can, otherwise the health complications will potentially be much, much expensive to treat and resolve!

Re: Pain in the Neck

Here's a nice updated photo, i've named it Bertha. Went to a walk in clinic and got some antibiotics. The infection is getting pretty bad, I can feel it in my left ear now. Hopefully the penicillin gives it a right good kick in the cunt.
