Re: Oto-Endoscopy Fluid Behind the Ear Drum
I used to do alot of team swimming for my city when I was younger and I had the same problems and once had an infection from it . My trainer knew about the problem and didn't recommend ear plugs but what really really worked was after your swim / shower get a clean towel which is on the fluffy side and tilt your head to one side, put the towel against your ear and pull the top then bottom of your ear, whilst doing this move the towel so it's dry again and just spend 2 mins doing it on both ears. You might be right but I wouldn't of thought it was due to having narrow ear canal's. If they were narrow it's even harder for the water to get in. You might have some earwax in there stopping some water coming out but hopefully a healthy amount. Don't touch your ears at all whilst swimming as this can cause water to be sucked in. Pretty standard procedure really you most probably think I wasted my time explaining the procedure |
