I also think that the finger just got slammed between something. My nail also fell of after I slammed it in iron gate. Totally freaked out, considering I was five - imagine you're trying to build your new LEGO pizzeria and suddenly you realize you've lost your nail  (that was about week or tad less after the incident). It's one of my most vivid childhood memories. |
