Re: Newborn Baby Infected With The Herpes Simplex Virus
I tend to think the specific baby in this picture has contracted herpes from the mother during birth, due to the location of the outbreak. HSV1 and HSV2 can infect thr genitals and face, they aren't limited to either or, but the lesions tend to be located where the contact was made. It's unlikely a person contracting herpes from oral contact on their genitals with have lesions where this baby does. I think it's a case of true story, wrong pic. |

Re: Newborn Baby Infected With The Herpes Simplex Virus
I actually located this baby's image on the following site:http://www.med.cmu.ac.th/dept/pediat...l-hsv/case.htm It states that this baby is suffering from neonatal herpes simplex virus, and that the lesions began on the scalp. Someone's taken the pic and attributed it to the news stories. |

Re: Newborn Baby Infected With The Herpes Simplex Virus
I have heard of this practice of sucking the blood off a newly circumcised baby, and there is a scriptural basis for it. In recent times, the latest and newest invention is a suction tube that the Rabbi "sucks" blood without actual mouth to genital contact because of cases like this My pen pals in Finland tell me circumcision is not legal in their country, no one is circumcised there.

it's a jewish tradition. Not in any way trying to blame ..or like be racist. This is my first post. I'm scared of doing something wrong. heh.. But, it's normal for the dude who does the circumcision to also, suck the blood. It's a known problem in communities where this is done. Unfortunately.
