Re: New Teeth...
Right at $5000 out-of-pocket........my insurance reimbursed most of it back to me, though. There were more costs, i.e. surgical, that I did not pay.....insurance paid them from the onset. Part was paid by health (Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal Employees) and part picked up by dental (I think the federal employees plan is now through Delta Dental....don't quote me on it). Hope this makes some sense.

Re: New Teeth...
I can see how dental tools can spread things like HIV. Got to be hard to completely clean and sterilize all that after. As for the pain, I can imagine how bad it was. Had some major orthopedic work done and the next day, which is always worse, my whole fucking skeleton hurt. Can't imagine that pain focused in the mouth. Hope it didn't ruin your cruise! |

Re: New Teeth...
The cruise was fantastic..... thank you! I had the work done about a month before so I was somewhat better. I actually cannot take narcotics, so I was pain med free. I had to go bare bones with Ibuprofen and limited Tylenol (past major medical condition - acetaminophen induced liver failure). Pain was VERY intense, but well worth it. I'm a pretty tough bitch! |

Re: New Teeth...
Made 20 seconds of that, no thanks. After my brother was done with chemo/rad which they (the VA) had preemptively pulled all his teeth for, they gave him a whole mouth of these. But it was at a year long process due to multiple infections. It seemed so painful and difficult that I don't know if it'd be worth it frankly- he had a stomach tube for much of it.. |
