It has a long tail and the hindquarters of an animal other than a bear. But yeah, probably just some ordinary critter with a disease. I thought "wallaby" when I read about the tail but the feet aren't right. It's so hard to tell when it's hairless - all hairless mammals look the same!! Maybe a member of the weasel family (which also includes otters, badgers and the wolverine)? Wish there was footage of it in an enclosure large enough for it to move around, or at least see the tail!
I agree, I took a quick glance at it's head, I've seen mange/scabies so many times I knew it wasn't what they thought it was.
