Re: Nasty Childbirth Complications

Pah!! I had 2 kids and and the only pain I felt was when my wife dug her nails into my palm and bite my hand.....Being a man I refused stitches (but took the offer of a cup of tea and a phonecall to my Mum)

Women have my greatest respect. men often are oblivious or just not interested in the trauma a woman goes through to give them the little bundle of joy they bounce on their knee, show off to their buddies and rapidly hand back to the female for nappy changing.
I was a brutal person when younger but had no problems changing, feeding and looking after my kids unlike the husband of a girl who was in the bed next to my (ex) wife in the maternity ward.
He lost it when his wife told him she had torn and had stitches....his concern? That it would be longer before he could "fuck her properly" and he pulled the curtain so my wife could not see and he grabbed her arm with both hands twisting the skin a la' chinese burn of playground fame but the next day she had a fucking huge bruise there he did it "to encourage her to do her exercises and "make that thing tight again" otherwise he was going to use her arse....I had been helping out in a sort of security manner with a couple of shelters for battered wives (back then there was no-where for battered husbands, they just had to get on with it) and with the help of the Head of the Maternity Dept (fortunately a long term friend of my mothers as they went to nursing collage together 30 years previous) we got her into one of the houses and eventually they got her moved some 200 miles (when I joined the Military and received my first posting it was only 20 miles away from her and away my wife and her became and still are very good friends...she remained single for about 14 years as she had been in that violent relationship from age 13 (he was 5-6 years older) and was unbelievably terrified of men.
When after around 6-7 years on her own she did agree to go out on a date with a work colleague of mine (NOT a friend) I had to get my wife to intervene as he had a strong liking for drink (not an alcoholic but enjoyed getting drunk) sadly he was an angry drunk and exactly the opposite of what she needed. Anyway by the time my wife spoke to her (no mobiles in the mid 1990's shock horror we just had to keep trying the house phone that was wired to the wall) she had already witnessed his temper when he got into an argument with a taxi driver (she had arranged with the driver to drop him off first and her second as she didn't want him to know her address that early on).

He wanted the driver to drop her off first and got really nasty and threatened the driver, so she had got out of the taxi and into another one that the cabby ordered for her over the radio and was gone before he realised what was going on!

She didn't have to ask he knew she didn't want him to know where she lived and he sorted it.

A good taxi driver/cabby knows when to do certain things even if it costs him a good fare because it will pay off many times over with new bookings and recommendations to friends.

She didn't have another date until her kid was 14 years old....and she was a stunner! I mean a real stunner she had a picture on her desk at work of her my wife and another friend and she told all "hitters" that she was flattered but her girlfriend wouldn't approve!!

Re: Nasty Childbirth Complications

Fuck.. I had an almost 10lb baby and thank fuck none of this shit happened to me. I had a minor tear but didn't require any stitches. My mother had to be cut from vagina to anus for me to be delivered, and they used forceps as well.
