Fireflykat: yikes, glad you have most of your movement back! I don't seem to have lost any sensation...range of motion is not normal yet, but I suspect that is just because it hurts if I do anything that stresses the wound site. And obviously I don't want to rip it open again *shudder*.

That said, the steri-strips came off today (as the nurse said they would). And to me the thing still looks incredibly nasty and weird. Like it COULD split open again if I move the wrong way, and the edges do really gross things if I move my hand. :( I am putting band aids across it during day now because otherwise I can't do much with that hand still. I hope what it looks like is normal! It is not infected and not painful unless I stretch it too much but still, ew.

it's alright...not too many know what free flying is...lol...the hand surgeon says if you take something pointy like the end of the pencil and run it along your hand and if it feels like ants crawling on your hand you might have nerve damage.
