Once you get the staples out you can put that Mederma Scar Gel on it every day for awhile. It really does seem to help flatten the scar out and blend it in better with the surrounding area.

Holy crap I have the same scar but they didn't use staples for mine. I probably would've preferred they had, because I spent the next few weeks after my surgery terrified my guts would fall out lol.

Hope your recovery goes well and to be honest with you, why not wear a bikini in the future. Im a great believer in fresh air for scars. Im not exactly a slim jim myself but when i go to Egypt next year on holiday i will be wearing my bikini, and if the men dont like it they can FOOK RIGHT OFF and go and look in another direction.
