Re: My Son Has Geographic Tongue
I have geographic tongue and it looks exactly like your son's tongue. I can't handle spicy food, or anything too hot (temperature). Too much citrus bothers me, also. It also flares up when I'm under a lot of stress, or around my menstrual cycle. (Obviously that wouldn't apply to your son.) My dentist gave me the definitive diagnosis, it's completely benign, but it can be painful. I learned recently both my brother and my grandfather have it, too, but they both can handle spicy stuff. |

Re: My Son Has Geographic Tongue
Benign migratory glossitis is aka "geographic tongue" these photos are not pics of bmg . What you are showing is "fissured tongue" aka "scrotal tongue" Completely benign and harmless except for spicy food issues. |

Re: My Son Has Geographic Tongue
It isn't painful at all. When girls ask me "Why is your tongue like that?" I tell them "It is ribbed for your pleasure." Haha
