My Purdy Ears
Sooooo... I got my industrial pierced prolly a year ago now... maybe a bit less. Anyways, I decided to change it a month or so ago and it is NOW infected. Before I changed it, the skin on the bottom hole was slightly raised and I guess looked like it grew up with the bar. So anyways, I changed it to a bar that was too long, which I knew, but I was impatient and couldn't go buy screw IN spikes for the bar I had (as most balls or spikes screw ONTO a bar.) So now, this has happened. Basically because the bar was too long and I moved it around a lot and probably got bacteria in the holes from the movement. I'm very touchy-feely. But the piercing is all pussy and gross (doesn't look too bad in the pictures, though) and is red and swollen. It doesn't really hurt at all. So I'm just treating it with Sea Salt soaks for now until I can get my hands on uncoated aspirin to mix with lemon juice. Apparently that helps to reduce swelling. :) Hopefully, I'll be good to go soon. I've heard it can take months to heal, depending on the person, but I seem to heal quite fast. :) So enjoy. Tell me I'm a silly girl for getting piercings and junk. *shrug*
