My Personal Itchyness

Okay guys. I decided to share my pain with you^^
So I have these allergies (I think it's allergies) and I'm really suffering from them every morning or when I'm sweating, or just random time. I have no idea what causes such reaction.
So the first time I noticed red rash on my body one morning. It was rather strange because the night before that I was really nervious and shocked (long story). The rash looks like I've been thrown in to nettles. It appears on my knees, my elbows, sometimes the face, on my feet (which is hell since I can't wear shoes then), on my palms! They're red, big and itchy bumps. If I scratch them, a minute later it'll grow tripple it's sizes and cause more itchyness and pain (it hurts when I scratch it :/). I am allergic to dust mites, but that comes in a different form (sneezing and etc., no rash). I changed my sheets yesterday and got this in the morning (pictures below).
Haven't seen the doctor yet, have no time, but I'm planning to do so. Has anyone seen anything like it? Anyone had it? Would be great if someone knew what the hell is this.

P.S. I apologize for the quality of pictures, but I really don't have a good camera.

Re: My Personal Itchyness

how long has this been going on? have you changed anything in your routine ie different soap etc etc? changed environment or diet? any new medications? - so many things can cause an allergy, sometimes its just a process of elimination. Go and see a Doc, who can refer you to an allergy clinic which may help you pin-point the cause

Re: My Personal Itchyness

I have this about 3 months now. In the start it only appeared once a week so I didn't really cared... I don't like doctors...
But when summer's here it appears two-three times a day. Usually when I'm in an appartament (mine, friends, etc.).
I don't think that I changed anything... The only thing is that I have a lot of animals.

Re: My Personal Itchyness

People can develop allergies spontaneously to animals, or anything else for that matter. Just like someone who uses Latex gloves for several years suddenly becoming allergic to them. Any new additions to your animal kingdom?

A few rats from a pet store, a spider.
And I'm going to see a doc next week

Re: My Personal Itchyness

This looks like urticaria.. I have this, and have had several types of it. When I was about 10 years old I had the dermographic type of urticaria ( my skin would look like yours, only worse, when I scratched my skin, and after it would burn like I had just rubbed poison ivy all over it ) Now I'm sure I have the type of urticaria that is affected by heat, just like you said, my skin gets really itchy when I sweat. I did 50 minutes of exercise today, and while I was sweating I just couldn't help but scratch my itchy skin, it turned really red, just like in your picture. This happens most of the time I'm exercising and sweating a lot, maybe we have the same condition? I might post pictures of my rash as well :P

Can't recall any mentions of spider allergies however rats could be the culprit. Rat/rodent allergies are quite common. Hope your appt goes well and you get some relief soon.
