Re: My Husband's Little Accident...

So, after about 7-8 months of occupational therapy - doc decided 'Digit Widgets' would be the next thing because his fingers now look like that of an 80 year-old man's with terrible arthritis. His middle, ring and pinky fingers now sport two drilled in metal pins each - attached to some plastic-y contraptions to help straighten them out. These external fixators will be on for about 6-8 weeks. He had a follow up with the surgeon today and doc says there will most likely be a 3rd surgery to go back and cut open the worst fingers and lengthen the actual tendons. Eww =D

Sorry it's been so long with the update! Been busy baking baby #3 over here

Let me know if I should get more pics! =D

Re: My Husband's Little Accident...

This reminds me of what happened to my friend. He was trying to show off and open a can of some sort with a kitchen knife (in front of the girlfriend). It bounced back up and went through the center of his palm. It hit an artery and three tendons. I think it took about 6 months to fully recover from the surgeries and such, but his hand is pretty much back to normal now.
