Re: My Brother's Battle with Cancer
When I look at him in the first pic, and then the shocking changes in the rest, my overwhelming reaction is that your brother--and maybe everyone with cancer--was one of the bravest m.f.'s that walked the earth. Forget lion-taming and bungee jumping and crap like that. It's the people who stand up and face the matter-of-fact horrors that everyday life can bring, and walk through a journey like your brother's, that are the definition of "courage" in my opinion. I hope you get to see him again on the other side. |

Re: My Brother's Battle with Cancer
So very sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your brother's story, as difficult as I'm sure it was for you. As much as you and all his other family and friends miss him and as cliché as it sounds, there must be some comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering. God bless.

Re: My Brother's Battle with Cancer
You did a brave and caring thing by posting the photos of your sweet precious brother. My heart just breaks for you and the rest of the family! How your poor brave brother suffered. It sucks that there are so many different cancers that have little or no treatments to even help a tiny bit. I think it does us all good to see the story behind some of the "reality" we see here. It reminds us of our own mortality and that every single picture or video we look at has a story and people who loved the subject of the post! They were living breathing humans with dreams and plans, heartaches and joy. Every once in a while we need a post such as yours . it keeps us human. Condolences on the loss of your brother and prayers for peace in your heart.

Re: My Brother's Battle with Cancer
So sorry for your loss. Must have been extremely difficult to see a loved one go through that. I lost my grandpa to cancer, liver cancer I think, but I was pretty young and it took him fast. He was there, then he wasn't.

Re: My Brother's Battle with Cancer
Very sorry for your loss. I lost my father to cancer in 2015 and it was terrible to watch. And sunblock is SO IMPORTANT. Every day. I always use it when I know I'll be in the sun for a long period, but I need to be more diligent and use it every day, no matter what. Thank you for that reminder. |
