Re: My 15 Y/o Son Had a Tib/fib Fracture

As soon as I read "Compartment syndrome" I knew fasciotomy was going to follow. Watching animal planet/discovery etc.. snake bites (namely rattlesnakes) cause compartment syndrome. Glad to see the fasciotomy wasn't as bad as those with snake bites..never the less..still looks painful. Best to ya's.

If you click on the newest pics they will not be sideways. I'm not sure why they uploaded that way.

Re: My 15 Y/o Son Had a Tib/fib Fracture

Good grief; glad hes okay now by the way. Same thing happened to one of my daughters male team-mates(shes a gymnast, as is her friend who got injured); the lad was just messing about on the trampoline at the gym, not doing any difficult multiple twisting salto's or anything like that, just a simple straddle jump. Anyway for some bizarre reason, he landed awkwardly and broke his tib and fib, exactly like this. Same injury, same treatment. Its amazing how it heals though; the skill of the surgeon is remarkable indeed.

Re: My 15 Y/o Son Had a Tib/fib Fracture

Oh wow! I hope the teammate is doing better as well! The day after the first surgery the surgeon told us that he could have lost his leg. It amazes me what these surgeons can do!
