Im sure we've all heard the story of Katie Piper, but here is an update which shows her amazing recovery! Katie Piper, 27, was raped, beaten and stabbed in the arms by her jealous ex-boyfriend Daniel Lynch in March 2008. Two days later, the martial arts enthusiast hired a man to throw a cup of sulphuric acid into Piper's face — leaving her with horrific burns that stripped away four layers of skin, damaged the inside of her throat and blinded her in one eye. But after enduring more than 40 operations and wearing a Perspex mask 23 hours a day to reduce her scarring, Piper has returned to modelling with the glamorous shoot in Reveal Magazine. Seeing photos from the shoot was a "significant moment in her new life", Piper said. "It's an amazing feeling to model and feel like a normal girl again. I'm supposed to be an acid attack survivor but finally I'm just being me," she told the magazine. "I hope other disfigured women will see this and feel more confident too." Piper, who has set up a foundation to help other women who have suffered burns or other disfigurement injuries, said she was finally happy now with how her life had turned out. "There are still things that upset me — I don't look like my mum anymore and I will never know how I would have aged naturally." "But before I was on the wrong path and was wrapped up in how I looked. Now I have a richer life. I never look back and think, 'What if?' My face is quirkier now. Poor girl she was so beautiful. Some scrub probably tried to have her no doubt and when he was rejected he couldn't bear the thought of not being with her and said to himself that if he can't have her then no one can. Same thing happened recently not too far from where I live, except in this case the douchebag murdered (shot) the girl and then turned the gun on himself. |

Why are you all so sympathetic? She wasn't even that pretty, She probably just took all of her makeup off and claimed to have been splashed with acid. lol |
