Its that bad cos I was stubborn and let it drag on hoping it would go away. Its that big because the hair can route around (made worse by the fact I do alot of off road driving in a bouncy jeep) and branch off in different directions. Mine certainly isn't the worst I've seen whilee googling pilonidal sinus. If the wound was closed up and left to heal it would have formed a kind of pocket on the skin which would then keep on getting infected(or at least have the potential to). i do believe during WW2 this was known as "Jeeps disease".

So 14 months on and finally an update! Its been fully healed with no pain since around September last year. I tell you, it was AWESOME to be able to sit properly and lay on my back again! God damn I'm a hairy mofo!
