The immediate reaction is always "Why the hell did they let it reach this point?" then you realize that a lot of the people who have these horrible diseases come from poor countries with sometimes non-existent medical care. So a lot of the time family members or friends will desperately try to plead the patient's case with physicians from Western countries until someboddy steps up and says they'll volunteer to help if it can be done.
its exactly what it all boils down to. most of people here make do and last as long as they can and will only consider extreme medical measures if some charitable institution will help because not too many can afford modern medical science billings. everyone wants to live longer and healthier even the vagabonds and the paupers. But not everyone have the capacity to maintain the upkeeping.
