Man Jumps from Fly-over, Lands on Passing Car
M, came to Chennai in search of a job six months ago and thereafter started working at an eatery in Aminjikarai. When the number of COVID cases started rising again in the State, he decided to go back to his home town. Two days ago, he informed the restaurant that he is leaving for two weeks and collected the salary for the days he worked in April. Police sources said M. reached Tambaram to board the bus to Sivaganga but changed his mind started looking for a job in the area. In the past two days, M. tried many shops but nobody was ready to employ him. Rejected, M. walked to a flyover and jumped from the 50-feet height and directly landed on a Toyota Innova. Onlookers rescued him and the police admitted him to the government hospital. He was later referred to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital. Police sources said the car on which he fell belongs to P. P. (49). He is a job consultant. The traffic investigation police have registered a case and further inquiry is on. |
