Will Golden is resident in the UK and has a very rare genetic abnormality. He has gonadal agenesis, a problem that causes the total absence of penis and testes and is still in the embryonic stage.

Will is not ashamed of his condition, which occurs only with one every 20 million children, and loves to expose his photos on the internet to reduce prejudice. Some ask: How he urinates and defecates? The rectum. A surgery was done many years ago, putting his urethra to the rectum, so he can do all his physiological needs in one place.

The chemo didnt work!
The radioT didnt work either.
There was nothing more they could do for me except perhaps amputate the lump .....but I could bleed to death in the surgery.

So lymphoma has been crushing the main nerve in arm to such agony I have been on 60mg morphine sulphate, 1800ml gabbapentin max paracetamol for 3 weeks.
Also blood cannot bypass lymphoma so I have deep vein thrombosis. My arm is swollen to full from shoulder to fingers. Therefore cannot fly anywhere = life over!.

There seemed one last resort; surgically remove lymphoma. Sussex top breast surgeon Charles Zammitt confirms this is impossible, because the lump needs to be moveable; apparrently it is not; it is too fixed to body tissue. As I said, I could bleed to death. So that's that!.

Ah but there is another route altogether. Look this is not that drastic. I am terminal anyway. Who knows; 6 weeks, 12 weeks, 18 weeks? I have to live what I have left to my best.

MY LEFT ARM HAS TO BE AMPUTATED!

With no arm, there is no nerve to be crushed in agony.
With no arm, there is nowhere for the blood to go and form a thrombosis.
With no arm, most of the lymphoma will be removed with it.

Hey, hang on..... what if the malignant nodes are removed as part of the amputation? So what was that about "terminal"? So that's a small chance. But at least I get to make the best of what I have left!

I dont want to lose my arm; it's been a brilliant arm. But I shall join it soon anyway!

Well Friends!

They gave me 6 weeks to live; Burkitts Lymphoma you see!
It resisted all chemotherapy, all radiotherapy. Looks like they may now try surgery. But it's futile.

Still..... I came close to death in Intensive Care 2 months ago from an infection and I was so drugged up I thought it was an adventure. I never knew how close I was and .....it didn't hurt.

I now have no fear.

If I die I die, if not.....

I have some money. I am going as far round the world as I can. Then? Dignitas in Switzerland! I am not opting for the alternative, dying at 4 stone, in agony, in a hospital bed; the ultimate humiliation.

My life is mine and so is my death a part of it. It is my human right to choose where, when and how I die.

So I shall be spending a week buffalo-trailing in Elk Island, Alberta; kinda same latitude. Leaving Heathrow for Edmonton 16th June.
