I saw a video somewhere of a kid that was cured of rabies after the doctors put her in a coma on purpose to treat her, because then she wasnt able to have those swallowing difficulties n stuff |

Even the rabies vaccine is not guaranteed. http://news.sky.com/story/660772/wom...ies-in-belfast 6 years ago a lady from Ireland went working in Africa with an animal rescue home (as you do). She had every vaccination known to man before she went- contracted rabies and died... |

Are you sure she had been previously vaccinated? The article doesn't mention it. And who in their right mind would touch a dog or cat that hadn't been vaccinated? Especially one that was acting aggressively?? A lot of people, it seems.  |

No that particular article does not say it but I remember at the time reading elsewhere that she had taken all her vaccs and to be honest who would go working with animals in Africa without taking every vaccination going..

Rabies don't want to mess with it, had a litter of barn kittens (to young for shots, mother was vaccinated, who was fine) kittens where exposed by some animal, didn't realize it, lot's of folks interacted with them, then the symptoms started with the kittens-- 12 people who had to get either the full set of shots or boosters to their earlier vaccinations. The moment I found out they where rabid, I was sure I was symptomatic (which of course it too late) I wasn't but sure scared the shit out of me!

How is rabies contracted? I always used to play with feathers as a kid despite being told once that birds are dirty and have rabies lol. I never got sick but don't know if that was even true what I was told.
