Sadly, a lot of individuals that go through this type of surgery regret it later for a number of reasons: lack of sensitivity, the procedure does not take care of the emotional issues, etc. I know of one case where the now female is unable to have any kind of sex because it is extremely painful. Even dilating her new vagina causes a lot of pain. She now suffers from depression a long with other emotional problems.  |

If the inside of the "neovagina" is fashioned from the skin on the outside of the penis, then how does it self-lubricate? The natural vagina is a mucous membrane, not epidermis. I'm confused... Also, are the vas defrens still connected, and can the MtF thus still ejaculate out of the urethra? |

Actually, the device you see inserted is a dilater, which is required to be used soon after the surgery to make sure the hole doesn't close, and to start stretching the skin. A lot of really nasty, ignorant comments in this thread. People are so very afraid of what they don't understand. |

I've been told by a post-op friend that no, it isn't self lubricating, they need to use lube all the time to keep the skin moistened and healthy.
