Re: Male-to-Female Gender Re-assignment Surgery (GRS)
You know it's the same skin that forms the genitalia on both men and women, right? It forms during the womb from the same bit of skin. The default is female, and with a certain level of testosterone, the baby instead forms into a male. When these levels get mixed up, that can then cause the person to be mixed up. Obviously taking that skin and re-shaping it through surgical procedures later in life is different, but I'm just saying, it's the same bit of skin. |

I'm really surprised your not more supportive considering you had the same same procedure, or is it because your surgery was botched ??

Re: Male-to-Female Gender Re-assignment Surgery (GRS)
Actually, Medicaid WILL NOT pay for this. When I first started medical school I worked in my godfather's office billing his medical claims and became certified as a medical coder and biller. I went on to become designated as a Medicaid Specialist. This would be considered an elective surgery, such as a nose job or breast implants, and these are out-of-pocket, unless a person has a REALLY GOOD plan that pays for elective procedures. I have yet to see or bill a plan like that.

Some of those are actually pretty brilliant. I'm sure they have problems and don't work the same, not to mention they're lacking the best bit of being a woman(clit!), but some of those look genuine.
