my life changedon7 4 08. a few days before unbeknown to me I had a heart attack and on the 4th I suffered a cerebral stroke.losing the usage if my left-side I have no balance am now disabled.I too have the rearview handicap tag.I only have pics of me before and me after and a few of me in rehab.

erm who mentioned religion???????? this post as i have been reading it is letting others know that we all have had some tragedy in our lives and some people on here make unecessary remarks which are offensive and just plain nasty yes some of us may make a joke or a little quip about some posts but from my own personal experience it's a way of dealing with the tragedies we have faced, for some reason i joined this site to find some answers as to why my partner took his own life 5 years ago, i guess my questions will never have answers religion has played no part in my life i have no religious convictions and nor do i want to have any religion in my life, i have been told that what he did was a sin well to that anyoe can stuff it up their arses i'll never know what made him do what he did he was depressed for many years and couldn't take the pressures of this life any more, oh sorry having another rant, oo ya know i feel a bit better for typing this and reading the other threads, knowing i'm no where near alone others have gone through far worse tha me and come out the other side and i meet other families who have lost a loved oe through suicide and it's such a comfort to know they too felt alone and unanswered questios and together we try to make sense of it all, so no religion is never mentioned by me

I work with the dying and have for 33 yrs, I also did disaster services for the red cross, I not only help people die a good death, but I've died twice, once when I was 5 my real dad stabbed me in my chest with a phillips screwdriver, I can tell you word for word what the prick said to me to get me to unlock the door , seems like yesterday not 40 yrs. after he stabbed me I either passed out or cant remember, but I remember a fireman carrying me out. In 1996 I was severely injured in the ER where I worked, the cops got a call about some dude in a major intersection by walmart directing traffic with a big knife, the cops got him in their car and he kicked it to death, so they called an ambulance, he did so much damage they retired the rig, we knew dude was on something so we got some down boy meds in a syringe, I've got alot of psych experience and can do most of the restraints, so I waited behind the door when the cops came in , I jumped dude, grabbed his hair in one hand jerked back and kneed his knee so it would go out, then as he dropped I wrapped my legs around his, my arms around his arm and chest and hit him with the down boy juice. hand my head on his head, now normally 4-5 other people would step in grabbing legs , arms until the 4 point restraints were on, that didn't happen, dude's biker boots caught on a tile and he back scooted us into a trauma room then head slammed m, I remember his head hitting my chin and myhead hitting the ceramic tile wall, I passed out after the 10th hit, when I woke up I was in ICU on a vent and had no face, I've had 11 surgeries to reconstruct it, he shattered my jaw, cheeks and broke my knows, I had a very good surgeon, he tried to keep the scars out of sight dude who hurt me is in Napa State. Last June, I had a heart attack and required surgery, I had a CABG or a quad bypass, tell you that is something that hits you and since it is an emergency, you don't have the time to let it even sink in, your brain is still on the I had a heart attack wtf, as the Dr is telling you to sign here for surgery consent, then not even 24 hrs later your up walking dragging your 3 chest tubes and posi pack around, your sent home 7 days post op, I had 75 staples in my leg and 45 in my chest, it still feels sureal I'm not sure what hurt most the leg from the vein harvest or the chest tubes. I'll have to look for the pics, for my face I have none, just pics of what I looked before and what I look like now. the surgical scars I do have them but have to look

I recently got into this kinda fucked up shit after my best friend mashed his head up in a car wreck. My other good friend was with him only got 30 stitches, walking away the next coupla days. My friend that died was the only guy i felt was fun enough to hang with (moved to a new town outta state). So yeah long story short, we had a lotta fun times, then one morning i here about the wreck. That was Sept 5th of this year. Since then my life's felt like slow motion. Numb. I've had thoughts of suicide long before my friend passing, but i couldn't bare putting that burden on my family and friends. I live so no one will mourn. I live so i can experience death naturally, not self inflicted. Life's too fucking short to block things on this website out --- documentingREALITY. Enjoy the air you breathe because one day you're gonna wish you had.
There's my sob story. Hearing about others puts things into perspective.
