Young female with left upper quadrant pain found to have large splenic cyst.
Ultrasound guided aspiration unsuccessful and patient referred for laparoscopic partial splenectomy.
Procedure performed using pledgeted EndoGIA stapling instrument.
Fibrin glue used to seal edge of spleen.
Recovery was uneventful. Pathology revelealed epithelial cyst
