I have many friends who are paramedics and EMT'S all of which are very well liked by both the patients and their employers,when hearing them talk about certain calls they were on(while being anonomous as possible)they talked of what happened,while non medical field employed friends were a bit surprised at their attitudes,views and actions,other people of the same job were not even slightly affected by what they heard,meaning I think after a while some doctors and nurses become thick-skinned and see patients as another "job"while I dont agree with it I can see how repitition can cause a bit of "another day at the office"attitude,I feel like if you dont love your job in a field such as medicine(especially w/children)your there for the wrong reasons,but you cant blame everyone of them,I had jobs I worked hard to get and after a while they became shitty and I hated going,no excuse for this though  |

I used to manage a research lab that handled human fetuses every day, and you just don't do that kind of shit. Yes, after a while, it doesn't phase you, but there is no excuse for being so disrespectful. If I had caught anyone with a camera they would have been fired on the spot.
