Tattoos are the truest form of art and many ethnic groups use them as body art and as a way to tell a story or show that they have passed a ritual. I have tattoos, wolf and raven on one arm, snowy owl on the other. |

Not always caused from fake jewelry. These are actually called keloids. It is literally an overgrowth of scar tissue, mostly seen in persons from African-American descent. There is a gene that does not know how to "turn off" the healing process and there is a proliferation of scar tissue. That is actually what is seen in the last pic you posted and may be what your BF has. I am of American Indian and Western European descent (German and Irish), but I had a large keloid removed from my left elbow in 1998, caused from a car accident. If I can find the before and afters, I will post them here....but don't hold your breath, I have no damn clue where they are!! |
