Saw this the other day and thought I'd share it for those that haven't seen it here. I searched the forum and did not find it, but do apologize if it is a repost. A local anesthetic was used on the leg and was done under the supervision of a vet. Although if I were a vet I probably would have used a scalpel vs. a knife but I am not a vet. If you hunt for abscess videos on youtube you've probably seen it. COws are pretty tough, maybe a scalpel wouldn't have cut through that hide. That's got to feel better to get rid of all that. Poor thing.
