Incision From Today's Umbilical Hernia Repair

I had outpatient surgery this morning. They used mesh to correct an umbilical hernia repair. The surgeon was to scope me but the tear had grown over the past month, so he made an incision. No stitches or staples, they glued me shut. And time to pop another hydrocodone. :o)

You're very welcome Kelly! I jinxed myself last time when I spoke before hand about a surgery, as the pics from my sinus surgery earlier in the year were crappy & I didn't post them. BUT, I will go out on a limb & mention that I'm having another surgery day after tomorrow. I have degenerative disc disease in my neck and am having a disc replaced with an artificial disc (anterior cervical discectomy).

Am also having a bone spur on my spine shaved down as I have stenosis. I have a pinched nerve that's given me issues in my neck, back, chest, shoulder and down my left arm all year.

I asked the neurosurgeon to take pics, and he agreed to. I told him the more graphic the better, as I find the procedure fascinating. Which I do, as he'll be going in through the front of my neck & will move the soft tissue aside. He laughed and said OK, so hopefully I'll have some good pics of my neck sliced open...lol.

Thank you very much, I appreciate it. If you have to get an EMG done, well...ugh. It's a test that measures the electrical impulses of muscles at rest and during contraction. The small/short electric shocks weren't that bad, but the needle sticks were. I know what you're going through, it's not fun and I feel for you. I hope that you're surgery will be 100% success!
