Implanon Mishap.
Before I begin, an implanon is a 4cm/matchstick size rod that gets inserted under the skin in the arm with the help of an applicator that its sold with, its essentially a slow release birth control or an easier form of "the pill" as you dont forget to take it. It lasts for 3 years. *those are examples of what it is and what the applicator looks like. Found on the google. Injection day. Area was numbed with some general anaesthetic in a sterile area, its cleaned and the needle is inserted. Done, you'd think it was easy right? Nah. First time I got it done the implanon decided to go through the other side, fail. Bruising is brutal but it doesnt bleed much;   4 days later and I'm back in there getting it done again in the same arm. Healing is uncomfortable, burns a bit and the needle hole is big (duh) but it means the scab is big, it itches and my stomach drops if I go searching for the implanon in my arm. Hoping it doesn't migrate as it has been recorded to do so in some cases, not sure if its more trouble than its worth at this point.   Bled a lot more, probably due to the previous bruising. Ended up taking the bandage and stirrups off when water got in during my shower, got paranoid it would "fall out" so I put a bandaid on it after seeing this;  And yeah, that's it.  |

Wow that looks like it effing hurts! Sorry you had to go thru that! Contraceptives never worked for me, obviously, i have 6 kids lol! I have tried them all, but not this thing you have. So, after my last baby i got my tubes tied, cut & burnt! Good luck!
