WOW! That is amazing, what can be done these days! Do you have to wear anything over your hand while out in public, to prevent infections if you do get cut or it starts bleeding? Thanks for posting...Im glad you got treatment and survived to tell your story!!

Holy shit dude, that was nasty! Kinda glad I've come to it when it's all been dealt with, I could tell everyone was getting worried you were dying of some ball-rottingly bad infection at one point! Looks like it's healing really well, Fido and Special Lady are obviously helping lots

I have never had in infection in my life, so no I don't have to wear anything. The docs had told me from the day I left ICU that I was not to let it get dirty. They would be kinda upset when I would show up with grease and dirt all over my hand. All I could say is look doc I need to work. I moved to Va. USA in 2006 and have not even had the sniffles, for some reason I just don't get sick or anything. I had a girlfriend once that said I had to be an alien as I would heal so/too fast. I take no meds, vaccines, or any of that. I eat all the wrong foods and too much at that. I also took way too many fun things when I was younger, maybe that's why. To be honest I didn't want go to the hospital, it was all you guy/gals and some people I know that care about me that finally got me to go. It took 4 or 5 days before I went. Thanks Kelseecat65.

LOL! Well, whatever you are doing...keep it up!!

My step dad is like that...he is 76, never been sick, drinks like a fish, healthy as a horse....does all the wrong things, yet has outlived many.
I think it comes down to good genes!

I'm glad you are doing well....that was quite scary when you first posted. Definitely keep us updated as you further heal!!

Re: I Cooked My Hand.

Hey HH- thanks for the update info and pics! Do you have to moisturize it or anything? Do they have you in physical therapy? I think strong genes are in your makeup; that and if you never got sick then you weren't ever on long stretches of antibiotics. I know that when I was finally diagnosed w/ mono (years ago) I'd been on and off antibiotics for a whole year, due to various infections. After I got better, I refused them for anything for like five years, just to give my body time to work up its own defenses again. I think overuse of them really weakens people in the long run, while at the same time strengthens the various bugs out there. Anyway, keep up the good work!

Yeah, I think most of it is the genes and the rest me not buying into all the vaccines and anti this and anti that and me putting my body through hell and letting it heal on it's own. I grew up on farm fresh meat, eggs, raw milk, the stuff that comes right out of the cows titty from across the road, etc. I did also eat tons of captain crunch and Boo-berry too and pop tarts so go figure. Lots of beer and other things, maybe I'm just too toxic for the enemy. I only drink beer now though, I hope my defenses don't go down.
