You know in Memphis, where I am originally from, the Jehovah's Witnesses were all african american. In sickle cell anemia blood transfusions are required, and I had a hard time reconciling that. Do they refuse their kids the treatment ? ALOT of people have sickle cell, and it hurts really bad. You can also die without transfusions. Any religion that doesnt allow certain medical treatments is fucked in the head.

Big update, this guy finally agreed to surgery and the tumor has been removed. There was an hour long show on TLC on 2/20/11 showing the process. It was incredible, when they were done the man actually had a face again. Even though still deformed, its nothing like it was prior to the surgery. A doctor in Chicago performed the procedure.
