don't feel sorry for him. I saw a documentry about this guy on Discovery Health a couple years ago and he refused treatment for this long ago before it ever got this bad based on religous belief. If I recall he is a Jehova's Witness and objects to having a blood transfusion which may be required due to potential blood loss during surgery.

My parents were J. W. I hated the religion from the time I first understood a thing about it. I hated it because I never met a happy person in that "Kingdom Hall". They were all hateful, decietful, cruel and without compassion. That they would convince a man to not seek treatment when he is suffering is just beyond comprehension.
