Bodyparts just don't fall of, you die from bloodpoisoning from the gangrene, far before that would happen. My biggest quess is that he mutilated himself.
Body parts DO fall off !...In extreme temperatures ! Long before sepsis sets in . Do your home work !
Why would a man mutilate himself ? Especially in a country with NO social welfare ?......He might as well commit suicide doing that , Cos NObody is gonna feed him in a country where they can barely feed them selfs !
