Although they call it a rash the "spots" on arms etc are not itchy or raised- it's bleeding under the skin like a bruise. I have since been in contact with people who now need a kidney transplant or have to endure dialysis so I consider myself VERY lucky.

Another update and how you guys would have loved some pics but unfortunately I thought I was dying at the time so none taken. I just got out of hospital again after losing a litre of blood from my bowel- most terrifying experience of my life. The docs reckon I had viral gastroenteritis which caused a flare up of my HSP (what this thread is all about) and in doing so caused my bowel to bleed. Whilst I was retching at one point I lost control and when I pulled the blanket back I was covered in blood- you'll just have to use your imaginations but it was truly horrible  Now recovering at home in bed. |

Sorry for what your going through...I have seen this once a child...she was really sick...miserable...we had to be so careful to keep her from getting an infection. Hope your recovery is smooth. Wishing you well.

The rash on body has no feeling at all since it's just bleeding under the skin however the first photos of lower legs- that was itchy and painfull.
