I had the same surgery. I had the hemorrhoid for about 8 years. I was hoping it would go away but just became bigger. In the end I was losing a lot of blood were it made me anemic. The hospital ended up giving me 6 pints of blood. After surgery it was not pleasant. Taking the dump was real painful.

Did you have to sit on one of those "donut" cushions? I had to use for for about a year and a half after I bruised my tailbone.

For a reason I'm not entirely sure, I remember when my boss had this operation done. She said that the smell of burning flesh was the worst part about the surgery(oh yes, she was awake), but other than that it was a apparently a lot less painful than it looks and sounds like.

Oh man this made me clench my butthole since I suffer from these. Not as serious as what this person has, but they are still pretty uncomfortable to deal with. Eat fiber and drink a lot of water so you never have to deal with these issues.
