This is on the proximal portion of his left lateral thigh. He must have struck the outside of his left butt cheek... I hope he gets well soon.  |

When I was 19 or 20 I had a sledding accident. Long story short, I hit a T post hard enough to stop a sled with me and a cousin. It caught me on the outside of my left thigh just above the knee to about 8inches up. The bruising was severe and a big abrasion. The next morning I had a huge lump down there. The doc I saw called it a "liquefied hematoma ". Since I didn't have insurance they just let my body absorb it. I remember feeling that blood running under my skin at night when I'd prop it up. Was creepy. |
