Just a thought could it be some kind of fungal infection? Try soaking bandages in Manuka honey an leave on an see if that helps too?  |

Usually when varicose veins are this bad they need to be stripped. I've been in the health care system for years, and that looks incredibly painful. Imo, maybe you need another doctor's diagnosis...I hope your mom is okay. Looks like cellulitis also or a serious bacterial infection

I say this as a doctor (no shit): get the hell off DR and find a new doctor. Everyone on here is just doing their best google research and looking for pictures that appear the same. You will get no useful advice on here and your mom’s leg should get looked at ASAP.
