I've seen hardcore hallucinogen aficionados (shrooms, acid, etc) that were brought to their knees by salvia. I tried smoking it a few times but didn't like its effects until I made a kind of fake tobacco chew out of it. Then it felt like a mellow dose of THC, and I remember watching the australian horror film LONG WEEKEND (1978) for the first time while high on it and it was like first smoking pot as a young adult and enjoying movies/TV. Maybe the secret is to find a way to take it slowly, like in edibles.

haha, yeah, it can do weird shit to your perception. People smoke it in its concentrated 10X form with a bong and they'll instantly (unlike LSD, which takes 1-2 hours to start feeling the effects) be transported into a one-way tunnel with glowing purple angels with no faces flapping ahead or something and you're like, "Oh shit! I can only go forward towards those angels; what if I actually died and there's no going back!?!? HEEEEELP!" Luckily it only lasts about 10 minutes (think of it as a very intense but very short acid trip) but it will be the longest 10 minutes of your life
