Was reading more about this operation online. It’s considered such a radical operation that many doctors won’t even operate unless they are 100% positive the patient has the mental will to cope and the strength to recover and go through rigorous physical therapy. It also has a very low success rate long term. From a study in which 250 cases were taken into account that this surgery has been performed on, only 7 patients have survived long term. |
