Re: Giving Birth by Cesarean Section

I'm pretty sick of women with that attitude. I suppose they'd rather have a dead baby?
Birthing is hard no matter which way its done. Cesarean is a serious surgery, can lead to infection, stitches ripping, and its very hard for new mums to find comfort to breastfeed or get up to tend to new baby in such a state. Most women who have natural births in this day an age don't have many problems. Tearing only occurs when you push too hard/ too fast. Sometimes they have to snip ya down there but it heals up. As for burning when you pee, that's only if you tear or get lacerations and they give you numbing spray for that. Take a chill pill and quit acting holier than thou, natural or by cesarean giving birth is risky and stressful. No one way is "better", the only thing that matters is if babe and mum aare OK.

Re: Giving Birth by Cesarean Section

I'll never understand why people say this. I'd rather have a numb, thin scar above my pubic line than possibly have a 3rd degree tear involving my vaginal muscle, perineum, and anus, with searing, burning pain every time I pee, a dramatically weaker pelvic floor, urine leakage, painful sex for years to come, and likely PTSD from the ordeal.

It's earth-mothers like you who are told they have 11 pound babies yet who INSIST on birthing vaginally, and who then sue the hospital when their baby gets shoulder dystocia and suffers brain damage.
You seriously sound like you have major issues...

Re: Giving Birth by Cesarean Section

Fuck me that's brutal! And clamping the cord so quickly??!!! Before the baby's even pinked up. Such bad practice; he didn't even check if it had started breathing and he's cutting off its supply of oxygen. Barbaric.

If I ever had to have a c-section I'd want it to be as natural as possible.

oh where to start with a reply. i might just leave it at the facepalm

Re: Giving Birth by Cesarean Section

Why the hell do they try to squeeze the baby out of such a small hole! I thought the aim of the procedure was to be used to remove them quickly, not play around with that tool in there to try and squeeze their head out of a little hole

Re: Giving Birth by Cesarean Section

And here I am, always feeling like babies are made of thin glass. And this guy digs in with a metal tool to position and pull the baby by its head.

Eh, he knows more about it than me.
Unfortunately babies heads have been crushed before by doctors using the metal forceps for delivery
