Jeez, I could see stabbing or cutting your hand, but going all the way through? It's an avocado, for Pete's sakes. A SOFT fruit. No need to go war hammer on the thing. Serves him right. |

There are much safer methods of getting the pit out of an avocado. Also, after they remove it, I wonder if they're going to have a little avocado snack? I'm sure it's just fine, it hasn't even started turning dark yet. |

That avocado is at the peak of ripeness. I'd still eat it if I were in this situation. You know, after the freezing kicks in and the hand is stitched up. Why waste good food? |

[8.9] on angle of the blade..bet the serrated edge rubbed/nudged the bone.. And who the hell STABS an avocado pit? take the sharp part of the blade (not the pointy one..) and just chop it with one good clean chop..pit will stick to blade, twist .. pull..done.. If that's too much? just scoop it out then... |
