A most excellent post. Possibly one of my most favorite, actually. I would have performed the surgery IN the water. Regardless, spectacular. And who's the surgeon who charges 200 bucks???

Anyone else ever play that stupid "toss a coin into a fishbowl and you'll win a goldfish in a plastic bag"-type game at school or church fairs?

My middle brother and Andrew W.K. had rats as pets!

Here, we had to get a ring over the top of the tiny bowl. I never played. I figured it was a set up.

I've done one damaged eye ablation on a $5,000 Koi. It survived. I almost didn't.

Re: George, a 10 Year Old Goldfish, Has Tumor Removed

We had a goldfish live 4 years in a simple bowl, not a fancy aquarium. I kept it on top of the fridge (cuz the kids would overfeed so had to keep it out of reach). I thought that thing would never die!

I had my cat cremated because he was a family pet. You become attached. You'll do anything and spend whatever money you have to
