My parents got the gym teacher at my sister's middle school fired for making her and a male classmate kneel on their knuckles on handfuls of pebbles.

Oddly enough I like having things pressed into my knees or the palms of my hands. Not sure why but it makes me salivate just thinking about it, sometimes I'll push my palms into rough concrete because I like the feel of the sting.  |

I've had to endure that form of punishment - except we were out of peas, so ornamental (near-fossilized) corn was used instead. The worst though has got to be the one where you have to keep your arms up above your head for 90 minutes. I should be able to find a picture to show you. |

That was an old punishment method used on kids at school and at home when they did not their duty. Originally it was practiced by priests as penance (and today by some catholic fanatics). |
