Before I read the article I just had a feeling that some of the locals would think it was the work of the Devil, or witchcraft or a curse. People in....I guess what would be considered the backwaters of Romania remain incredibly superstitious about certain things. To this day they STILL dig up corpses to check for signs of vampirism when a spate of bad luck hits their villages, especially when things happen to their livestock.
